Manaiakalani Film Festival Entry - Sportsmanship

Room 6 loves sport! But sometimes it can get out of hand. That is why we learnt about the importance of sportsmanship. At Glen Innes School we play hard but we play fair.  No tantrums, no bullying, no hurting, and no damage is our policy.  Room 6's movie shows that whether you win or lose, there is no fun in being unsportsmanlike. Are you one of these bad sports?

  2. Hello Glen Innes,
I really liked the part when the guy got wasted.
A piece of feedback is when you were taking the angles for the basket ball you couldn’t really see his face in one of them. I learned that you shouldn’t be a bad sportsman ship. Who made the video?

  3. Ki Ora Room 6. I am from stonefields school. My favourite part was the basketball bit. This is one of the best movies. I learnt to play fairly in sports. How did you come up with the movie?

  5. Hi Room 6, I am from Stonefields School. I really like your movie. I learnt to be a good sport even if you lose. My favourite part was when you were telling us to stop fighting. Did you have to practice a lot or a little to get your movie perfect. I also like how you gave examples of what we should stop doing. I would rate it a 8 out of 10.

  6. Hi Room 6, I love how your movie was not only funny, but it was also inspiring to show people the difference between not having sportsmanship in then which showing that you do have sportsmanship, so maybe next time people will know how to control their emotions when playing a game or sport.

This shortfilm that you made is really inspiring. After watching it a few times I gathered up more information about bad sportmanship. I actually have acted like that when it comes to sport. This shortfilm helped me to understand that I shouldn't have bad sportmanship. How did you come up with the idea of making a film based on bad sportmanship?

  24. Kia Ora Room 6

Your movie is probably one of my favourites out of the school because it is funny and also it spreads a good message about being a good sports man. I am guilty of quite a few of these things when I was younger luckily I matured and got over it. It not only players that are side line coaches lots of parents are guilty of it too. Well at least my dad is. Which stereotype do you think is the most popular?
